The first year we planted 3 of these rhizomes, we were surprised to see 5 to 7 flowers on one stem. Next year the rhizomes doubled in number! And the year after the same thing happened! We have a whole patch of these pretty flowers that grace our garden with a beautiful pink/peach colour.

Bumblebees and hummingbirds were really attracted to this tri-coloured annual. It's actually a tropical verbena.

We grow these stunning pink annuals every year and collect their seeds for next year, too! They're prolific bloomers.

If there's one perennial the honey bees love - it's this one!

This old fashioned favourite has a lovely fragrance that evokes memories of springs and warm May evenings gone by.

We grow this annual vine every year. Its' stunning blue/violet with pink throat colours elegantly cloak any trellis or fence. One year we trained it up the wall and it grew up to the 2nd story bedroom window, found a gap in the screen and came right into the bedroom and bloomed there as well!

Gorgeous clear and vibrant colours always appear on this annual. We grow this one from seed as well, and also use the flowers to decorate a salad and leaves to add a little peppery taste, too!
